See, if I hadn’t told you . . .
You probably wouldn’t have noticed that I switched from Moveable Type to WordPress. I grew tired of the 45 minute rebuilds, the slow speed of posting, and the slow speed of comments. I am very happy with it.
Thanks to Kathy Kinsley for doing it for me. It was a very smooth transition. She did an excellent job. If you’re thinking about the change, drop her a line.

Thanks!
Now if I can just stop myself from trying to fix your design…

Are ppl leaving MT like they did blogspot?

Seem to be. MT is great until you get up to about 2000 or so posts, then rebuild takes forever.

Looks great. The only thing I would change is the Permalink format. The format I use is just like yours, except that it also includes the unique entry number. That way, Permalinks always lead you to the right place, even if you happen to use the same subject line on two or more entries on a single day.
It’s a simple fix, and any links to the old entries will still work. For example, the Permalink to my latest entry is:
http://xrlq.com/archives/2004/06/16/1618/study-10-of-population-gay-9-liars/
Which contains the entry number 1618. However, if I drop the entry number and follow a link using your format, I’ll still get to the right place:
