I have said repeatedly that it surprised me we never found anything. But we still haven’t found the stockpiles referred to by Powell and others in the administration told us with such certainty would be there. A few scraps here and there do NOT justify the administration’s hoopla.
I wonder: if I tell you where you can find a buried treasure worth $1 million, but you look and find just one $20 bill there, have I met your burden for telling the truth? After all, there was MONEY there; just nowhere even remotely close to what I told you was there.
tgirsch, that analogy is absurd. A million dollars is relatively insignificant. However, the murder of thousands is. Iraq said they didn’t have ANY, and it’s taken this long to find the small amount we have found. Lately, no one thought they had them, but they do. How much longer will it take to find the rest, assuming they’re there? In 10 years, they dig up an underground warehouse full of WMD’s, no one will care, and Bush will still look like the jack ass Michael Moore and the media are making him out to look. Even though he IS right, and he will be right all along. I’m rambling, and I’m sleep deprived. BLAH!

They’re not WMD! Iraq had no WMD. Therefore, anything Iraq did have are, by definition, not WMD.
