Last post on the DC Gun Ban Repeal (for today)
The proposed repeal is a good thing (even if it doesn’t pass) because it keeps the anti-gunners working to maintain. While they work to maintain the status quo, they devote less time to affecting new laws. So, call your congress critters and tell them you support repeal of DC’s draconian gun laws.

It also does one other thing . . . and keeps them advocating for a complete ban on firearms (something they hate to admit to in public anymore).
Calls for all guns to be banned (or effectivly banned, you can only have a gun in DC that was registered to you in the 1970s) DON’T play over well anywhere – even in more liberal places where people seem willing to accept serious regulation of their rights.
While they can debate over what level of regulation constitutes an infringement, most people understand that banning them is certainly taking away a right.
I do hope that Craig slips his bill onto something else in the Senate. We need to get people on record . . . and with a closely divided Senate it would be great to see John Kerry and John Edwards have to fly back to vote for banning guns.

Hell yes. Keep them on the defensive.
