RSS Stuff
This is to test whether or not my new RSS feed shows the entire post or just an excerpt. Should work but I’ll soon know. You feed readers out let me know if it works.

it was a joke comment, sorry to pollute your business. You see though that is says “I’ll soon now” instead of know

Bah! Should be fixed now. I was trying to use sitemeter to see how many feed hits i get (AWstats says about 1300/day but that seems a bit high).
October 27th, 2004 at 1:21 pm
Hmmm, on the 1300/day, I have it embedded on my page, and I get about 1800 visits a day on the average (Sitemeter, more if you use the AWstats). It does cache the entries, but checks every time my page is loaded. I wonder what effect that has on the number?
October 27th, 2004 at 1:36 pm
Ah, could explain the huge number. since the main page here gets about 800 – 1200 per day, i thought the 1300 to be a bit high.

SU if you want to see how much text your RSS feed shows you can go to this page
http://www.liberty1st.org/news.aspx
Select Say Uncle from the drop down list and then hit Change Channel. I believe that page shows text the same way a reader app would.

Looks great! Much nicer, and thanks from all of us Reader readers.
You should download a good reader (like SharpReader and see for yourself. You’ll never go back to browsing blogs via browser again.
