Quote of the day
On the effectiveness of the assault weapons ban, Lyn Nofziger:
From 1975 to 1992 when there was no ban on assault weapons, 16 police were killed by such weapons. During a similar period, when the ban was in effect 20 police were killed by assault weapons. Draw your own conclusions.
Update: Interestingly, he doesn’t use the statistic from the VPC of 41. Rather, he uses a statistic closer to the one that I and others came up with.
