Local Gun-Bigot Wins…Again

David Price, who represents me in the House, has been elected to a ninth term. His wife is Executive Director of North Carolinians Against Gun Violence, a local gun-bigotry group.

However, Mr. Price assures me he supports the rights of hunters and sportsmen.

UPDATE: On the plus side, it appears that Richard Burr has won the Senate seat vacated by John Edwards—he’s giving a victory speech on TV right now. Mr. Burr has A-ratings from the NRA and the GOA. His opponent, Erskine Bowles, had C and F ratings, respectively.

I wish you easterners would educate your officials as to the real meaning behind the Second Amendment.

I try to meet my rep at the NRA banquet every year (she missed it this time around because she was pushing through legislation that would allow people who live in states without a state income tax (like us!) to take sales tax off of our federal income tax. Don’t tell anyone, but she has a handgun carry permit.

Well, I try. I write letters, emails, and faxes. I got on Price’s email list to try to find out if he was going to be at any local events; I sorta doubt he’d be at the NRA banquet, though 🙂

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
