Are there problems with wells drawing down the water table to the point that other peoples’ wells might go dry? Not that this regulation is the way to fix this problem, if it is a problem. If the population is dense enough that this is happening in a place as wet as Missouri, it’s more than dense enough to support a water and sewage system at lower cost than individual wells.
Or is it just that a few farmers have irrigation systems that suck out the water table?
