Just wondering
So, how many times do you think John Kerry’s been hunting since November? I mean, I’m just asking, him being a sportsman and all.

It’s not that he didn’t want to go hunting, he’s just been busy going to all those many, many football games and tailgate parties.
I still wish he’d tell us his secret plan for Iraq, since he’s not using it.

Related question. How many times has George Bush been to church?

Oddly enough, George Bush wasn’t the one making a big show out of religion and church-going during the elections. That was left to Kerry and Clinton.

It was just understood that Bush was religious, so he didn’t have to make a dog and pony show out of it.

Oh, but if you want to make a similar point about Bush/Cheney, I’d go for the gay and lesbian angle. As in, how’s that defense of marriage amendment going, Mr. President?

Bush goes to Church most Sundays. If he’s not visiting a church somewhere on the road (or in Crawford or at Camp David ) he usually attends the early morning (eeer, 7:45 ???) service at St. John’s Episcopal on the corner of 16th and H St NW in Washington D.C.
I believe he’s a Methodist now but he was raised an Episcopal (I believe his father is still a member and may still be on the vestry there) and its the traditional church of most presidents – eer, its the closest church to the White House and has served as the “official” White House church since James Madison occupied the White House.

Bush goes to Church most Sundays.
Good for him. Keeps him out of trouble.

Les:
I’m afraid you’re right, and it annoyed the hell out of me. The truth is, the GOP knows it has the religious vote, so they don’t have to flaunt it. The mistake the Dems made was in thinking that this demographic was in play and trying to pander to it — and that’s precisely what it was.
I’m sure Kerry was specifically trying to appeal to Catholics, but it didn’t come across that way and backfired badly.
The better counter-question would be how many times has Bush visited the troops in Iraq since November?

I did ask a while back about the lack of terror alerts and changes to the color chart.
