The government would like you to know that legally taxed alcohol and tobacco is available for consumption. Or abuse if that’s your thing.
Or you could consume marijuana, which is fine with them, because they’ll just take all your stuff when they find you.

According to Kos (not your favorite source, probably) there is also a controversy surroundign $240,000 of our tax dollars going to pay a talk show host to play up Bush’s “No Child Left Behind” program.
Forget whether or not we support the ideology of the content. Taxpayer funds should not be used to promote the policy du jour of the party in power.

it depends, if it is for information purposes, i do not disagree (for example the recent social security commericals advertising automatic check deposits), but if it is for PR purposes, i have not figured out how i feel about that yet.
