Is it still possible to obtain a false identity (SS card, driver’s license, and passport), just by finding someone of about your age that died young and using his birth certificate? That’s an even bigger security risk than handing out green cards to dead people, from the same cause – failure to make it practical to search death records “just in case” or to link them with other government databases.
