They have good taste
Sigarms just got a $23.7M dollar contract to provide service weapons for the Department of Homeland Security:
The winners were three models of Sig Sauer pistols, the P229, P226 and the P239. The P226 and P229 are equipped with a newly designed DAK trigger system, developed by JP Sauer & Sohn, a German-based 200-year-old sister company.
The final Homeland Security order includes sub-compact, compact and full-sized pistols, in two calibers, 9mm and .40-caliber.

One of our friends is financial fraud investigative agent for the Department of Treasury and he carries a medium frame Sig in 9mm (he wasn’t sure of the model last night – and since we were drinking lots of wine while the kids played, no one had their guns out) but was saying that Treasury is getting rid of the Sigs and that he will be getting a medium framed .40 S&W Glock (I presume its a G23) in the next month or so (I, of course, told him that I had just sold mine).
I’d really like to buy his gun, but don’t think the federal government sells them to private individuals.
