Restore the second amendment
Ron Paul has sponsored a bill to restore the second amendment rights of all Americans. It’s sad that we need a bill but it does one thing that is important: it gets rid of the particularly suited for sporting purposes language from a lot of bills.

and he filed the bill on a particularly appropriate day, Patriots Day, when the first shots were fired in the Revolutionary War when the British tried to confiscate the militia’s arsenal. Ironically, this is a state holiday in Massachusetts.

Go Ron Paul! I wonder if this bill really has any hope.

I like it.
I’m afraid the Saints’ll win the Superbowl before it passes, though.

One of the things I’ve noticed, but can’t put into the correct words is this concept:
It seems many people will Defend and Enforce a person’s 1st Amendment Rights.
But it also seems that many people will only Defend a person’s 2nd Amendment Rights.
There’s a subtle difference there, but it’s the core of my point. Does that make sense? Do you see my point?

There is one goof in the bill.
921a 17 C, if modified, would remove the exceptions in the GCA’68 that are used for shotguns and .50 pistols and .50 BMG rifles.
Your shotgun would suddenly become a Destructive Device, requiring a BATFE Form 4 for transfer.
If he wanted to kill this provision, he should have also removed the bore size limits to avoid DD clasification.
