Video help blegging
Anyone know why video on my computer would suddenly have a blue tint? Tried Windows Media Player and Real. Both now, for some reason, play video with a blueish tint to it. I can use the color settings to get rid of it but it doesn’t save that setting so each video requires it. Can’t think of anything I’ve done other than installing an old computer game.
Update: All fixed now. Stupid proprietary video card software.

Have you tried a System Restore?

I have not. Don’t know how. The only thing that’s goofy is video so I’m not inclined to go that far, yet.

Could be a hardware issue, try disconnecting the monitor cable and making sure it’s fully seated when you put it back in… how is your computer/monitor?

That didn’t work. COmputer and monitor are fine.

It’s probably your stupid proprietary video card software.

For future reference, a System Restore will take your computer back to a point where things worked properly. Ever so ofter, Windows XP takes a snaphot of your setup usually when you add software or hardware. (Before you install something, it’s a good idea to do a maual restore point, just in case.)
To do one, click on Start and go to the Control Panel (Category View). Go to Performance and Maintenance and click on “System Restore” in the See Also task pane. That will get you to where you can either do a restore or create a restore point. From this point, it will walk you through the process.
