Software to be FBI approved?
Gunner thinks this is bad:
According to the three-page document, to preserve the openness that characterizes today’s Internet, “consumers are entitled to run applications and use services of their choice, subject to the needs of law enforcement.” Read the last seven words again.

I’d say that’s an incentive for law enforcement to constantly increase their “needs.” It also sounds kind of like Illinois’s RKBA:
“Subject only to the police power, the right of the individual citizen to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

I think you’re reading that too literally. IF you read the whole section, it seems rather innocuous.
