Couple o’ AKs
I’ve said before that an AK looks unnatural with an AR stock. I’ve found the exception and the shorty AR stock looks kinda cool. Good price on the VEPR too.

It’s a good thing I don’t live in your area. Coal Creek carries way too much stuff that I like.

I’m pretty sure they do transfers 🙂

SayUncle-
Speaking of AKs, this weekend I am picking up (from Predator Custom Shop) a Mak 90 which has had the Hillary thumbhole stock replaced with a really nice wood standard AK stock.
I don’t know the exact type of wood, but it looks great.
I need to get an end piece for the butt of the stock.
Do you know where to get one?
I would have e-mailed this question to you, but I don’t know your e-mail address.
Thanks.

Email info is on the right side, scroll down a bit. Do you mean one of these? Or if you mean the metal piece, I have one that you can have.

Which one would you recommend?
I prefer shorter stocks, but the AK kicks a little so the cushion may make it a little more user-friendly.
Also, I have a pre-ban Norinco (Clayco Imports) AK which has a plastic butt stock. I would be interested in putting a nice wood stock on it, but don’t know where to look. I got the last one at Guns and More for my MAK 90.
Thanks.

“a Mak 90 which has had the Hillary thumbhole stock”
Not to nitpick, but the Mak 90 has a George Bush thumbhole stock, what with Hillary being just the wife of a pissant governor back in 1990…

The only kick problems i’ve had are with those plastic stocks. The wooden stocks barely kick, imo. As for a recommendation, depends what you want really.

I have an AK with a new T-6 collapsible stock and a saw forend from Tapco. Works excellent and is very easy to maneuver in tight quarters when collapsed. Shoots excellent when collapsed all the way down also.
