Online Speech Dealt A Blow
Congress has decided to continue to use the Bill of Rights as toilet paper by deciding that online political expression should not be exempt from campaign finance law. Says Alphie:
Soon I shall have to start reporting my posts to the FEC.
Not this guy. I will keep on keeping on. And, though I’ve never really done political endorsements in the past, I may start just to be a dick.

Personally, I think they will make it exempt. Too much pressure from active ‘net people will make it happen.
But, just in case it doesn’t, I’m sure the people who invented peer-to-peer will come up with something that is hosted off-shore that allows untraceable posts. Or something like that.

Oh, wait, I just remembered – somewhere in Glenn’s archives is an offer from some guy who owns a small newspaper. If I recall correctly, he offered to make anyone who contacted him a reporter-at-large or something like that.
Kinda like the gig Michael Yon has now…

There unofficial slogan was “If privacy is outlawed, then only outlaws will have privacy”. Right away you can see this is not your fathers ACLU.

Start endorsing everyone you can think of. Turn sayuncle.com into a future supreme court hearing!

I’m on the record, and I’m not changing. I will not report. I will not comply. If you think you can take me off the internet, molon labe. (That’s latin for “Just Bring It.”)
