Put the donut down and walk away
Via Mike, comes Scott Adams’ (you know, he does Dilbert) first blog entry. In this entry, Adams shows the evolution of a comic strip in which Dogbert is a police negotiator. A cop shoots an unarmed man and that is OK. What’s not OK is the image of a gun in the strip, which is changed to a donut that fires bullets.

After looking at the evolution of the Dilbert strip in question….I only could shake my head and say: When donuts are outlawed, only outlaws will have donuts.
Imagine house to house warrantless donut searches…..and the police EAT the seized contraband!
Don’t Tread on My Donuts!

Hehehe… At least he has a sense of humor about it. Most people would have abandoned the idea completely and started fresh. Adams took it in stride and improvised. I applaud his effort.

I would’ve used a churro. They have more stopping power.

What I find … interesting…. is that they had no problem with a cop shooting a guy after he surrendered – or whatever. All they cared about was the lines that formed the shape of a gun.
It’s as if they couldn’t understand the _meaning_ of the drawings, they could only react to the static images presented…..
