Fumento up to old tricks
Mike Fumento, who I’ve talked about before, poked fun at us insignificant blogs before starting his own. He also acted like a prick in an exchange between himself and Rich Hailey.
Now, he’s using sockpuppets in comments at other blogs and to change his Wikipedia entry.
Once a prick, always a prick.

Gee, if Tim Lambert accuses someone of using a sock puppet, you must be using one.

Assuming his IP addresses match, I have no reason to doubt him.

And the reason we know the IP addresses match is . . . because we have Tim Lambert’s word on it! And never mind that Lambert has long been on a vendetta against me, nor that he uses his friend over at urinestain.com, er, inkstain.com, to do HIS postings. In other words, he uses a human sock puppet!

Gee Michael, it’s interesting that you didn’t deny that you posted as Tracy Spencer. And what about those anonymous edits you made to the wikipedia page on Michael Fumento? Are you going to deny that you did them?

Well, Michael, the IP address you used to make that comment matches the one that Lambert posted. Pretty convincing to me.

Lambert didn’t post an IP address, so I’m not sure I understand what “matches” here. In any event, a match between the IP address of the guy posting as Michael Fumento on SU and the guy alleged to have posted as Michael Fumento on TL’s site doesn’t sound all that convincing to me, unless the only thing you’re being convinced of is that both Michael Fumentos are the same person. Now if “Spencer Tracy” were to post here, and that IP matched, that there’d be different.

Yeah, Lambert did here. It matches the wikipedia entry and the IP to that comment.

[…] The ever-thoughtful Michael Fumento is back at it, this time calling me a “a human sock puppet”. Thanks, Michael! I’d been at somewhat of a loss for an idea for next year’s Halloween costume. I was thinking of dressing up as Tracy Spenser, but this is much better. […]

[…] Tim Lambert is back to his usual antics. As usual, it’s wacky reverse-conspiracy crap about sock puppets. Only this time, the real sock puppet got caught with his pants down. The only question is whether this non-sock puppet might come to regret her eagerness to believe the sock puppet’s wacky theories about other people being sock puppets. […]

[…] I did another post on this subject here where someone claiming to be Michael Fumento left a comment. The person who left that comment’s IP was also 69.143.188.141, which matched both the IP address that Tim Lambert posted and the IP address of the person editing Michael Fumento’s Wikipedia entry. […]
