Is there a fund set up?
Fifty-eight year old Patricia Konie from New Orleans filed a federal lawsuit over excessive force used by police during Hurricane Katrina. She’s suing for injuries she sustained at the hands of police officers, for violation of her civil rights in forcing her to evacuate against her will, and for the unlawful confiscation of a firearm.
Good. Is there a legal fund set up?

Why a big, armored and armed policeman would assault a little old lady was beyond my imagination at the time. I’m happy that he and his superiors will be able to explain exactly they felt the need to mug a little old lady who had plainly asked them to leave her home after they came in uninvited.

I’d be very surprised if she didn’t have a bunch of lawyers already courting her for the chance to sue on her behalf.

Tackling little old ladies is bad for your pocketbook…
It seems that Patricia Konie, who was tackled by a cop on national TV as they “evacuated” her from her home in New Orleans, has decided to sue.
