Osama bin dead?
And, according to Iranians I trust, Osama bin Laden finally departed this world in mid-December. The al Qaeda leader died of kidney failure and was buried in Iran, where he had spent most of his time since the destruction of al Qaeda in Afghanistan. The Iranians who reported this note that this year’s message in conjunction with the Muslim Haj came from his number two, Ayman al-Zawahiri, for the first time.
I’ve suspected he was dead for a while. Obviously, this is not confirmation.

If that’s true, it’s bad. You need him dead in a way that he can be confirmed dead, rather than live on in rumor and innuendo. “The Warrior Lives,” and all that.
I’ve always felt that the best place for him is alive and rotting in prison. No sense making a martyr of him.

Personally, I think he bit the big one at Tora Bora, and the stuff since has been put together to make it seem he was still kicking.

I have always believed that he was long gone from Afghanistan before we got there, and has spent his time watching us self-destruct on satellite TV. By now, he, like Saddam, is irrelevant. What we are up against is an ideology that has no basis in this world or in mortal institutions or persons. We will have to fight our way through roadside bombs and snipers to wrap a rope around Saddam and kick the box from under him.

Ive heard from personal friends who were in Tora Bora right after the bombing (military officers) who claim that there could be no possible way that any living thing could have survived the bombing which took place there…interesting concept if true but tired, create a boogeyman, and use the guise of fear to bolster ones power and agenda through the pretense of national security (ala oli north ‘s contention that the sandanistas were funelling arms) ..though these witnesses I refer to have never have claimed to see a body nor hear actual confirmation. of Bin ladens death offically..
