Speaking of Democrats and guns
Check out Pro-Gun Progressive, a left leaning, very pro-gun blog. Here, he addresses guns and the Democrats:
Tom Daschle and John Kerry standing around a skeet and trap range awkwardly cradling an over under shotgun didn’t save them in 2004; if anything, it hurt them by demonstrating just how solidly out of step they were with the 80% of gun owners who don’t hunt. Blathering incoherently about respecting the rights of hunters only reinforces and underscores the reality that they don’t understand firearms and urban America.
Ayup. But one word of advice, don’t bother linking to or criticizing gunguys.com. Picking on the retarded isn’t sporting. The Gun Guys are not guys, it’s one guy who is some comedian you’ve never heard of.

Hey, thanks for linking my site!
I’ve heard a couple folks saying that the gunguys are best ignored; part of me likes the Jeffersonian notion of not letting any untruth stand unchallenged.
The other thing with that boob is that he’s a useful idiot. He continually uses the same tired, unsubstantiated argument; undercutting it shows the strength of our position. If it wasn’t him, it’d be some other idiot =).
Thanks!

No problem. enjoyed the blog so far. But on the gun guys, there are more useful idiots in the press:
there’s a lot.
there easy to find.
they matter.

The big thing here in MD is going to be shaming the antigun legislators like Brian Frosh, who chairs the Judiciary Committee, into not suppressing a vote on progun bills.
He’s very safe in his seat, won with 72% of the vote. He can slough off a few of the Republican agitators, but if we can protect some progun Democrats, and encourage more of them to come out of the woodwork, we can apply some internal pressure to keep the votes moving forward on important bills.

Sebastian – if you can get the Dems to move on this issue, you stand a chance of picking up my vote (at least on occaision). Of course, Northern Virginia Republicans leave a lot to be desired as well.

Thanks countertop; keep checking the site and calling the local AM radio shows, asking them to help keep the gun rights issue at the forefront.
SayUncle, you mentioned that there are bigger and better fish for me to fry than GunGuys. I’m like a Rottweiler on a sirloin, just let me know who to go after.
Thanks!
