Blog note
I’ve had a few readers complain that they occasionally get a 412 Precondition Failed error here in the past. I’d never really gotten it so I could not investigate. Well, this morning, I got one. I hit refresh on the main page while posting an entry and got the error. Once the entry posted, the error went away.
Any ideas?

Nothing new to report. I seem to get them in the AM mostly. When does your traffic peek?

That was my inital guess. I’ve got most of mine when you were adding posts at around 10AM. I’ve actually been reading when you post stuff slightly after midight and I’ve not seen the 412’s. I’m assuming your host has no clue?

To expand on the preconditions, this should expand on the preconditions- at least give you a base to google on. Given the peak time issues, maybe something to do with multiple domains on the one server, browsers having problems with updates etc?
