Gunny Acronyms
I really like your site because if the rather level headed “pro-gun” Point Of View, but since I am neither a “gun enthusiast” nor a gun owner I simply get lost when you get in to the Acronyms. I know ATF, but what is NFA?
Suggestion? A post of all your firearm TLAs (three or more Letter Acronyms)for us casual fans?
Here’s a good list courtesy of AR15.com. Also, NFA is the National Firearms Act which regulates machine guns, suppressors, short barreled rifles (SBRs), short barreled shotguns (SBSs) and any other weapon (AOW).

Thanks! Now I won’t have to think, WTF when I hit a TLA. BTW if you’re ever passing though SC I’d be happy to give you the VIP tour of COL.

My personal favorites:
BFG – Big Fun Gun (you can adapt the f to whatever situation you are in.)
EBG – Evil Black Gun
BAR – Browning Automatic Rifle

I’ve complained about that before.
I know that Kim (btw, here’s a heart-wrenching post by them: http://www.theothersideofkim.com/index.php/tos/more/8939/), used to have a little database he would link to.
I also learned how to use “ackronyms” in HTML, perhaps you could add them in every once in a while. Here’s the syntax:
NFA
(remove the spaces afer the ‘NFA
It’s not much more complicated than an href link tag.
How ’bout this; if you use some acronyms, I will send you some money to support your blog.
Deal?

Well, that didn’t work.
How ’bout this – replace the [ and ] with the correct symbols:
[acronym title=”National Firearms Act”]NFA[/acronym]
heh

You forgot DD – Destructive Devices. Grenades, rockets, etc.
