The mirror image of my neighbor’s child. He was shivering in the snow with his fingers turning blue. The wailing started at the suggestion of going inside.
Maybe it was because the mean old neighbor (me) suggested it.
Maybe she doesn’t want to go outside because she doesn’t have any gloves.
Granma got my Jr a snowsuit for Christmas (we had snow right after Thanksgiving), but we haven’t had any snow yet.
And mine’ll stay outside in the cold an wet until his fingers start hurting from the cold. Yesterday he somehow managed to shed his boots and was running around the backyard in his socks.
Actually, that’s the grandparents’ house. It’s not the carpet but is a throw rug that, like my mom in law’s dishes, is from the 1970s and she won’t part with it.

That’s so sad! Did you ever get out the door to make a snowman?

You had snow? Or, were you going to the mountains?

We had snow, sporadically. NOt a lot. She did make it out but didn’t stay long.

Not that my home’s decor is anything to write home about, but that carpet looks like what my Dad installed in his finished basement in the late ’70’s.

Maybe she doesn’t like the idea of being so bundled up that she can’t move….
We’d send ours out so bad that if they fell down they couldn’t get up. I Like the little shoes.
