Confiscated guns?

Or technology branch play things? Supposedly, these are pics from the ATF’s vault.

Looks like a good place to have a shopping spree. Or maybe a never-before-seen extension of Castle Argghhh!!!

  2. Nylarthotep Says:

    Looks like a Museum.

I really hope that those will never go up for disposal. Remember what Clinton did to the M-14 surplus? It would be a travesty to destroy that much history.

  3. Marc Says:

Reduce the debt – sell the guns.

  4. Bruce Says:

More than a few items there to hang over the fireplace.

  5. Ravenwood Says:

Looks way too organized for the ATF.

  6. Ravenwood Says:

Yeah.. I call bullshit.. Some of the photos have little paper tents with a historical description. They are set up more for museum display than they are warehousing.

    For instance, see: http://64.184.32.112/cmmg_images/tbl_images/Guns/DSC00036.JPG

Then again.. this guy’s badge says ATF

It may have been an ATF inventory of a private collection….

Here’s a better shot of the ATF Badge:

The ATF brags about haveing one of “every” gun for refrence purposes. I watched some ATF employe open the safe for a documentry and that was one of the lines.

What’s the deal with the white gloves?

These guys look a little light in the loafers.

    HEY!!!

Who took pictures of my gun closet?!?!

  13. Denise Says:

I don’t think the vault is holding guns for disposal. I think it is a permanent collection of some sort. If so, that would explain the little tags because they would highlight significant guns in the collection. It would also explain the gloves. You don’t want to leave finger oils on guns you plan to have for a long time.

If it is ATF’s vault, it probably is their reference collection. Several pictures show a couple of guys wearing khakis and blue polo shirts. The shirts have a Fabrique Nationale (FN) logo (see http://64.184.32.112/cmmg_images/tbl_images/Guns/DSC00091.JPG and others). Maybe they were there for a research visit, training, or whatever.

I have a federal deputy buddy who thinks it IS the ATF vault.

It’s awful to see all those war trophies and great guns in the hands of those people. Maybe the ATF collections and seizures ought to be turned over to the CMP for sale back to the public.

Great evil done by the most mundane looking guys. Polo shirts and 511 tactical pants.

Be interesting to have someone who knows what the real story is to tell it. Those guys have ATF visitor tags. Are they ATF or visitors? Some of both? There are some folks with different shirts on.

Ugh. This is depressing to look at. Those weapons all belonged to some BODY. Lots of German assault rifles which probably came home from Europe.

  15. Ravenwood Says:

They are likely just visitors. ATF employees and contractors would probably have a photo on the badge.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
