Even if it wasn’t
Douglas M. Duncan, Democrat candidate for Governor of Maryland, on the proposed assault weapons ban:
“I lived through what one of these weapons can do during the sniper shootings,” Mr. Duncan said, referring to the shooting spree in October 2002 that killed 10 persons and terrorized the Washington area for three weeks. “We don’t need these guns on the streets.”
Then, Mr. Duncan, you may want to know that the weapon used by the DC snipers was not affected by the assault weapons ban.

Just be glad those guys weren’t using the Remington 700 they had intended to use. The handful of survivors of the shootings would be dead. Idiot.

Not to mention that Muhammad was from out-of-state, the gun was from out-of-state, the gun was stolen, murder is still illegal, and criminals don’t obey the law.

Ought to mention he is the shit headed brains behind Chuckie Moose’s decision to confiscate all the registered .223 caliber rifles in Montgomery County for “balistics testing.”
Asshole

Considering that the shooter only fired one shot each time, IIRC, it wouldn’t have mattered if he’d had a AR-15, an M-16, a bolt rifle, or even a Ruger single shot (whose nomenclature I can’t recall off hand.)

Heartless – Or a two hundred year-old .72 caliber rifled musket firing a soft lead ball. Maybe even a cross bow, which, by the way, has also been the object of legal restriction schemes over the last several hundred years.
But now we in the U.S. don’t have to worry, beacuse we have the Second Amendment….or do we?
