It starts
Meet S.620. An effort to reauthorize the assault weapons ban. It’s the same as the old one, including AG study provision and the 10 year expiration. Introduced March 14.
Update: Nevermind. Stupid me, didn’t pay attention to the date. Looks like one died in judiciary committee though.

Search result links in Thomas are ephemeral. Try this one.
Looks as if it died in the Judiciary Committee.
Same for S. 645.
Of course, they’ll never stop trying.

I have a friend who’s stocked up on supressors because he’s convinced that NFA toys are the next big thing they’ll go after.

Check out this article on the UN conference to ban small arms. The author seems to think the failure to renew the assault weapon ban gives the world a bad view of the US. There is some interesting information, but the article is obviously very bent.

They will never quit and ultimately they will finish their continual triumph.
Conservatives basically want to be left alone. LIBERALS want to make everyone do thing their way. This basic imbalance means that they never quit working and eventually we go fishing.
