Murder Chart
Interesting chart on gun murders in New York. In most cases, the murderer knew the victim. And murder occurs mostly in Brooklyn and The Bronx, which is odd because guns are essentially banned in all those places.

So, young male minority gang members kill each other over drugs or money, and it’s all because Southern rednecks own shotguns. Makes sense to me.

“The murderer knew the victim.” That factoid is what the anti-gunners use to inflate the “gun in a home is X times more likely to harm you or someone you know” meme. If I recall correctly this includes the murdered cabbie who “knew” his fare because he’d met him minutes before and members of opposing gangs who “knew” each other before the gang murder.
