Another police gas fire
Seems another has occured where police lob gas to get a suspect who is holed up out and a fire breaks out:
Coeur d’Alene police found the body of a California man Wednesday morning inside a burning home that officers had cordoned off during an overnight standoff with an armed man wanted for questioning for a recent stabbing.
…
Several rounds of CS gas were fired into the house which subsequently caught fire shortly after 2 AM Wednesday.

Smoke/gas grenades work by using a lot of heat-I’m not sure how exactly it’s initiated, but I know it’s hot enough that you don’t want to pick a just burned grenade up without gloves-to convert a stoable solid inside the canister into smoke/gas.
Sometimes it doesn’t work correctly, and intead of spewing smoke, they spew flame. I’ve seen a smoke grenades shooting a jet of flame out the ‘smoke’ hole for up to about a minute. This was in gravel-inside a structure it would have started a fire, I’m sure.

This should upset people.
I do not think it is right that police should be able to burn-out suspects. If it can happen to a real bad-guy like this fellow, it can happen to innocents that have been portrayed to be bad-guys(Think of the Davidians).
Police are not supposed to be a militarized force.
We should use instances like this to pass laws strictly banning the use of CS Gas or Tear Gas in a building.
Other Tear-Gas>Fire examples in the US:
1.)Symbionese Liberation Army
2.)James Beck
3.)Waco
5.)Donald Charles Kueck
6.)Scott Allen Woodring (A concussion device)

These may be the very people the founders expected us to defend the republic from.
