Marshals: Innocent People Placed On ‘Watch List’ To Meet Quota
Marshals Say They Must File One Surveillance Detection Report, Or SDR, Per Month
You could be on a secret government database or watch list for simply taking a picture on an airplane. Some federal air marshals say they’re reporting your actions to meet a quota, even though some top officials deny it.
The air marshals, whose identities are being concealed, told 7NEWS that they’re required to submit at least one report a month. If they don’t, there’s no raise, no bonus, no awards and no special assignments
Kinda like speeding ticket quotas, only it will fuck you for life.

I this sounds way dumber than speeding quotas. Everyone knows there are a gazillion speeders on the highway at any given time, so if a given cop has shot an unusually low number of fish in that barrell, it’s not unreasonable for his superiors to ask why. I don’t know that the same can be said of SDRs.

I’ll never understand why the Republicans acquiesced to the Democrats on the creation of the TSA. It was a mistake to create it in the first place, and it’s a mistake not to abolish it now. 9/11 was never a failure of security, it was a failure of doctrine, which the good people of Flight 94 changed for us. No one will be hijacking planes anymore, the passengers will never allow it, or will die trying.

Gosh, it’s like the Federal Bureacracy is at WAR with the citizens!
