Assault on Waco
I started watching it but was interrupted. David Hardy notes that it is not accurate, in the same way that The Path To 9/11 is not accurate:
I watched Assault on Waco on the Discovery Channel last night, having sent the producers some footage and audiotapes…. I gave up after the first 20 minutes or so. There were too many areas where it was just plain invented.
Docudramas are often more drama than docu. I’ll probably still watch it.

What’s sad is that even as it was presented, it cast the BATF and FBI in a horrible, horrible light. Incompetent at best, and out-of-control in my view. Things didn’t seem to jive. I caught the 7th seal thing, too. I was amused that the ATF talked about how they thought they had over 150 automatic weapons (even though there weren’t even 150 people there, counting about 50 children) and a “stockpile” of 8000 rounds. And that there was constant shooting at thier range. Hell, I’m running low on ammo, and I have about 3000 rounds right now. 8000 rounds on an active range, even with just two lanes, is maybe what, 3 days? If they are taking it easy?
Hell, doesn’t Thunder Ranch tell you to bring close to 1000 rounds a day for thier courses? Per person? 8000 rounds isn’t even a battle load for 50 fighting men. And the ATF supposedly thought they had a Ma Duece yet they show up with helicopters. Sheesh.
