Interesting. And all along they’ve been claiming that rifles and shotguns are part of our heritage, but not handguns (paraphrased from this month’s American Rifleman magazine…)

Well, at least they got that right. Just shows that compromise with such people is always a bad idea. By allowing the ban of any type of firearm, the princple that it is acceptable to ban a firearm has been accepted; all that remains is a policy issue. I prefer that my rights not become “policy” issues (we’ll all have a better/longer life if they don’t try to apply their policies to me).
