That’s what I’ll teach my kids

Right on:

Youngsters in a suburban Fort Worth school district are being taught not to sit there like good boys and girls with their hands folded if a gunman invades the classroom, but to rush him and hit him with everything they got – books, pencils, legs and arms.

“Getting under desks and praying for rescue from professionals is not a recipe for success,” said Robin Browne, a major in the British Army reserve and an instructor for Response Options, the company providing the training to the Burleson schools.

Indeed. Hiding makes you an easy target. When confronted with violence, your response should be one of two things and those two things only:

1 – Run
2 – Attack

Or fight or flight, if you like. That’s it. Nothing else. It’s the natural thing to do or else we wouldn’t be conditioned to have those two responses.

Do not hide. Do not negotiate. Do not try to soothe. Do not comply. Do not try to ‘understand’ the murderous retard shooting up the place. Period. In a school shooting, if you can leave then get out. If not, don’t cower or hide. Fight enough to get out. Or you’re dead. If you attack, you could die. If you cower under a desk, you will die unless the nutjob runs out of ammo before getting to you.

Says a spokesman for the sheriff’s department:

“You’re telling kids to do what a tactical officer is trained to do, and they have a lot of guns and ballistic shields,” he said. “If my school was teaching that, I’d be upset, frankly.”

Yeah, let’s keep doing what we have been doing, teaching our kids to roll over and be compliant little wussies. Wait for the “experts” that are “trained”. That’s worked great. Jeebus, what a fucking moron.

[…] What do you do when a mad gunman shows up? At Columbine the answer was to hide under the desk so you could be a convenient target. Some have decided that that is not a good answer. They want the children to fight an armed gunman or gunmen, but they want to keep teachers and principals unarmed?? I think fighting back is better than not, but why keep children, teachers and principals at at UNARMED disavantage?? The big bad militarized police with their helmets, vests and machine guns receive what they need, but NO, not the adults in schools who are the FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE. That’s insanity and worse, it’s actually a great evil to keep them uarmed!!

When the Bill of Rights was written, it was meant to enumerate rights that we already possessed. The Bill of Rights doesn’t “give” us those rights, it just lists them.

If anyone chooses to live unarmed, chooses not to practice self defense, chooses to be a victim, then there is no helping them. They will always stand and bleat when the wolf comes.

Even worse, they want to disarm you, too. We need to stand up for our rights while it is still a voting issue, or we will have to fight for them later.
