More dems and guns
When even the Chicago liberal, statist, populist contingent recognized the gun vote, it’s a good thing:
But our democracy might work a bit better if we recognized that all of us possess values that are worthy of respect: if liberals at least acknowledged that the recreational hunter feels the same way about his gun as they feel about their library books
Don’t get me wrong, Obama is likely as much a gun-grabber as, say, Schumer. But at least he’s not stupid about it.

Isn’t it just a little odd how the media seem to manufacturing a “rising star” out of thin air? If I hear them refer to Obama as a “rising star” again, I don’t know what I’ll do. I can’t take it any more!

And Obama is using the typical leftist rhetoric of confining gun ownership within the narrow constraints of a licensed activity, hunting. The 2nd Amendment protects the RKBA for SECURITY against criminals and tyrants.
If gusn are only for hunting, then why do governemtn officials and agents have them–even full-auto one “on the streets”? What –or who–are they hunting?

Says there Obama supports the banning of ALL FORMS of SEMI-AUTOMATIC WEAPONS. Next.

I am surprised that he has not had a road to Damascus experience and become openly gun friendly.
I would have thought him to be more politically astute than to use the hunter meme when discussing guns.
He presumably wants to run beyond the state of Illinios, and to do so he would seemingly want to be more flexible on 2A matters.
After all, he could be next year’s NRA keynote speaker and, with musket in hand, declare “From my cold, dead hands!” and still get 70% of the Illinois vote.
I guess that no one has told him about the DLC playbook.
