Guns in Va
The Allen v. Webb battle of who is more gun-nutty continues. I liked Webb’s response to the questionnaire here as it’s good to see a politician not talk about guns and duck hunting. And Allen has a strong record on gun rights, as the only thing I could find is a statement that he opposes absolute right to gun ownership. But then, who doesn’t?
The moral, of course, is that gun rights are important to both parties.

That would be the Virginia Gun Owners Coalition, which gave Allen a B- and Webb an F on gun rights. They’d probably give me an N- for supporting laws designed to keep nonexistent undetectable guns nonexistent, and for failing to breach my 2-year contract with Sprint after learning of the company’s history of gun control contributions. [Or maybe they’d give me a pass on that last one, as the only way I found out was from the dreaded NRA.]

I would argue the moral is the grown-ups in the Democrat Party have realized that gun control is a “third rail” of politics and they’re not going to touch it…just yet.
If they get enough seats in Congress, they’ll go back to their old habits.
