Balls of Death
At some point, I figure the British government is going to mandate that all of its subjects (they are still subjects, right? I mean, they’re treated as such) be relegated to rubber rooms with all sharp items and heavy blunt objects either put away or wrapped in foam. See:
In the hands of Shane Warne, a cricket ball is an offensive weapon. A total of 650 fallen wickets prove it.
Police on a London Underground station thought it was an equally dangerous item in the hands of Chris Hurd, a 28-year-old City accountant who occasionally bowls leg spin for his local team in Belsize Park, North London.
This is a country that has effectively banned gun ownership and self defense. Now, the latest targets are airguns and knives. You even see the phrase knife culture repeatedly in the press there. It’s sad that a country once known as Great Britain doesn’t even trust its subjects with pointy things. Or hard things.

But the British are so much more sophisticated…

I don’t think it’s so much a problem of the British gummit not trusting its citizen/subjects, as its citzen/subjects not trusting themselves. Dunblane brought a near-total ban on firearms, which was plenty for the Tory gummit but not nearly enough for the citzen/subjects, who demanded that the gummit disarm them even further. Having been left with any freedom at all, they were mad as hell and not going to take it anymore, and overwhelmingly elected Labour to rule instead. They’ve remained in power ever since, but not by force. At least when it comes to domestic policy, the Brits simply don’t like freedom.

It’s funny to see the anti-freedom club bash “gun culture” and “knife culture” (That one’s been around since the stone age).
WTF happened to multiculturalism? What happened to the idea that other cultures are equally valid?

Didn’t I predict this just a couple of days ago?

.” Or hard things”
No wonder Brit women are so depressed, and depressing.

Gun culture, knife culture. Soon, club culture and balled fist culture… Can’t these folks hear themselves?
