Yes, because banning a known-to-be-harmful artificial ingredient from use in commercial kitchens only is exactly the same thing as living in Stalinist Russia. Next thing you know, those damn nanny-staters are going to want to ban lead from paint, and asbestos from new buildings…

I agree with Tom. The whole hydrogenated oil thing was begun as a way to prolong shelf life. Too bad it’s worse for you than bacon fat.
