We’d handily beat South Dakota if not for Philadelphia. The local rag I think stated the city issues 20,000 licenses, which is about 1.6%; well below the state wide average.

The “facts” they quote in the newspaper article are pretty bogus, too: Gun ownership is a factor in crime and suicide, etc. But then again, the Argus-Leader is well-known for being a Democrat mouthpiece.

Jeff Martin should tell us about any 1st Amendment devices he might keep at his home, the people have a right to know if he has a plasma TV.

Of course, as I learned so happily when I flew to Sioux Falls, SD in November, South Dakota is also the only state I know of where its possible to buy a shotgun and shotgun shells in the airport – right outside the metal detectors.
