What media bias?
I propose a little wager to all takers: The media took the Zumbo* story, spun it, ran it up the flag pole, and got everyone to salute. Now, Zumbo has apologized, said he was wrong and supports gun rights. I bet this gets almost no press and certainly no press from the Washington Post. I’ll bet a beer on it. Any takers?
* I am no longer stating any post about him is the last post.

I’m not entirely sure his apology is news. If his sponsors renewed their contracts with him and admitted they cut him loose too hastily, that would be news.

As best as I can tell, only the WaPo ran with this as a A-section story. All the other papers ran this in the “outdoor” type columns, and had a more realistic take on the whole story.
I’ve been reading the Post since I was a little kid with an obsessive-compulsive reading disorder. There’s a reason why we embrace the nickname “Pravda on the Potomac”. I would not expect any kind of update or retraction or clarification about Zumbo from the WaPo, unless of course, he crossed over and started collecting a paycheck from the Joyce Foundation.
