There aren’t enough stupid offsets in the world to make a difference. Hell, they would all get used up just in DC.

I knew that Gore was caught red-handed when he sent his spokesperson out to talk about his carbon footprint (whatever that means) instead of his utility bill (which is a pretty understandable concept for most of us).
He and his rich D.C. and Hollywod cronies are complete hypocrites on this issue.
They live lavish lifestyle, waste energy like there is an unlimited supply, and instruct the huddled masses on how to conserve.
Just for once, I would like to see a wealthy, high profie spokesperson for the environmental movement who lives in a 1,200 square foot condo, drives a hybrid auto all the time, and travels on commercial aircraft.
I don’t think that Al Gore and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the 2 major mouthpieces for the environmental movement, fit into that category.
That’s too bad, because I believe that a lot of their message may well be accurate.

Even in a relatively open marriage like mine, $10 wouldn’t offset the damage deceiving my wife would create.

As someone who consumes little carbon, let me say that this is one of the stupidest ideas ever. Gore should set an example and get himself a smaller home. He also should consider, where he can, to ride transit, walk and bike rather than drive.
