Reports of gun confiscations in Kansas

There were reports of it. Doesn’t seem that nefarious to me:

Apparently, as they dig through rubble and come across guns, they are tagging them and marking the location where they are found and taking them for storage.

Seems to me a good way to make sure they’re not stolen.

    That’s not a confiscation. It’s retrieval.

I should add that at first, we didn’t know that. And there still hasn’t been a confirmation of either situation happening. However, if you know anyone in the area who owns guns, have them call NRA. They are trying to make sure that a NOLA situation didn’t happen here. They also want to make sure that if it is simply a retrieval that the process of returning the guns to their owners is painless.

    Yeah,

It’s all contingent on how easy it is for gun owners to get their weapons back from the cops. It could be quick and painless, in which case, this is a good thing. On the other hand, they could decide to make it nigh impossible to ever see you guns again.
