Toys and supplies
It’s not all First and Second Amendment here at SayUncle. Some time we look at “Toys and supplies”.
Take some time and check out what Gerber has to offer. Good stuff. Some of these products are available locally at Dick’s Sporting Goods and Walmart.

I’ve had the TX 3.0 as my bedside flashlight since Christmas.
Cost me a little over 40 bucks at the base exchange.

I really wouldn’t consider Gerber good stuff. It’s decent, and for the money there aren’t many better choices, but most of their Wal-Mart (and even other locations) offerings are made of suspicious steel quality or heat treatment.
They’re workable beat knives, but I would recommend a bit of caution when using them.

I especially like their strained carrots.

Their toilets aren’t worth crap…

gattsuru is right.
Gerber uses inferior steel when compared to real quality knives – the type of steel is the most important consideration in a knife. Their locking mechanisms on their folders aren’t the best either imo.
Plenty of real quality knives out there – Kershaw is still my favorite ‘known’ brand. Expect to pay at least $100 for a real good quality knife though.
