Winning Over Mainstream Media
Granted, the Onion isn’t as influential as it once was, but when its opinion pages stand solidly behind the 2nd Amendment, I can’t help but smile.

Just making sure, because apparently not everyone knows … but you’re aware that The Onion is entirely satire, right?
It was hard to tell if your post was serious or satire itself.

Satire or not Thomas Studdelmeyer has a serious hangup about suicide.

Guav:
I would have thought the “Humor” tag was a big enough clue… ๐

Uhm … It’s a joke … it is not real … “Thomas Studdelmeyer” does not exist.
I just take it as a given that after being printed since 1986, everyone is aware that it’s a parody newspaper. But I guess even headlines like “Gaywads, Dorkwads Sign Historic Wad Accord” aren’t enough to tip some people off to it’s satiric nature ๐

Ah … that’s what I get for not reading tags.
However, Cactus Jack still appears to think it’s a real columnist. Or maybe we’re so deep in satire now that I can’t tell the difference either.
Maybe it’s a sign of our absurd times haha

Yes, I know the Onion is a joke. I’ll take it as a sign I did a good job if you weren’t quite sure I was joking. ๐

Yes, you did ๐
