Yeah, I know
Posting on gun forums can get you searched. And that’s all the “probable cause” needed to obtain a warrant in the police state we have allowed ourselves to devolve into.

It’s fucking intimidating being surrounded by JBTs with guns wanting to violate your rights. Although this man was courageous and asked them to show him a warrant, he has the wrong mentality to apologize for inconveniencing someone who just violated his rights. Would he apologize to a cop that raped his sister because her skirt was too short?

Blegging the question from all the lawyers out there – Is there any check-and-balance against the rubber-stamp warrant issuing judge? I’ll assume that Judges have used the standard “sovereign immunity” mischief and made it impossible to sue the judge. I also know that in at least some jurisdictions the judge can seal the evidence that lead to the issuing of the warrant on a whim. Any other checks out there? Anyone keeping score of a conviction rate vs. warrants issued for judges? Any other way to remove a bad judge besides impeachment or the laughable election “for continuation in office” with only one candidate?

How do we know that the “informer” didn’t just want to harass this guy? Some partisan idiots will do anything to get back at people who think differently from them. This could be another liberal tactic to get a gunny.
It sounds like the informer just saw the title of the blog and made up the rest of the story.
Isn’t this a little close to a thought crime? I see no reason to use anything other than a pseudonym on the Internet. There are too many crazy people who will fuck with you if they know who you are.
Wonder how many students get reported for looking at Maxim or Ask Men in a computer lab?

If it’s a GFW just being a jackass to get at a gunny, I hope they run afoul of the campus rules in some way or another — some sort of karmic retribution for causing this guy such trouble for nothing.

What I wonder is; didnt the cops check out the “threatening” posts before they accosted this guy? My money sez “no”.

He needs to get a copy of the affidavit for the warrant.

What ParatrooperJJ said: in a case like this, the FOIA (or whatever the state equivalent is called) is your friend.

Where is the investigation into false allegations. All of that police manpower wasted because someone made up some lies ? I would think the police would want to trample on someone who made them go on a wild goose chase.
