How truly sad. They basically follow the BATFE line of “destroy it.” The idea of cutting the receiver and then getting it fixed after amnesty is almost a joke. A cut receiver will never be what the original was from a collector’s stand point nor from usability.
Any opinion if this would cover other firearms that are actually on similar prohibition lists such as short barreled rifles and shotguns? I’m guessing it’s the same thing. Or more likely you’re going to jail if the cops find out such a weapon exists.
