And then upon, reading it, discovered that they failed to address two of the four items made in my complaint, the immediate physical handling of myself by the officer, and his subsequent claim that he would find a reason for me to go to jail that night, even though the letter states that they have both the audio and visual recordings of the incident. So, I decided that since they had utterly failed to address these issues, it was a screened, partial, obscured resolution.
He also notes:
My girlfriend and I gave an interview to the Knox News Sentinel today, regarding the incomplete nature of the KPD’s response, and the reporter heading the story will be examining the file and the tapes for himself tomorrow(Friday).

Good luck to him, but given the bullshit they tried to feed him so far I’ll be amazed if he has any luck without a lot of lawyering up.

I am pro-cop. But I see problems with KPD. Problems that other local law enforcement agencies don’t have. What is going on with KPD training?
Maybe airing this out will bring some positive changes at KPD.

I’m VERY pro-cop. This wasn’t a cop and it wasn’t policing. This was thuggery USING police authority.

Guys, keep your eyes open. I thought like you just a couple of years ago. It looks like it is just this department. It looks to me like this department plus the majority of others.
And they always say that they will “find a reason to take you to jail”. It wasn’t mentioned because it wasn’t noteworthy to them. It was standard.
