Ayup. Me and metulj don’t agree on much other than bourbon and that Giuliani would be awful. On guns, he says:

And I’m with Tam. On issues that matter to me, there simply is no difference between a Giuliani and a Hillary or an Obama.

I’m a AR kinda guy too but you cant deny that, when it comes to ruggedness and reliability, you cant beat a AK. 🙂

I don’t completely agree that Hillary is the same as the others. The Chinese put Bill Clinton in office and were handsomely rewarded. The Chinese missile program advanced twenty years overnight with missile and computer technology from America given by Bill Clinton.
I have no use for Rudy, Hillary, or Barry Obama. But right out of the gates Hillary is sucking the Chinese money tit again. The Chinese do not need any more America military technology. I don’t care if Satan is Hillary’s opponent in the general election, I will not vote for Hillary or waste my vote in protest.
The Rosenberg’s were lit up for giving atomic secrets to the Russians. Now it is okay to give away military technology? I don’t think so.
The funny part is it was one of my most liberal friends that explained to me what Bill Clinton did. He works for the .gov. He despises Bill Clinton. I had vaguely remembered this when it happened in 1997/1998 but when a true blue blood liberal tells you Clinton is a traitor it leaves an impression on you.
I could never figure out how Clinton got caught with Monica Lewinsky. He didn’t make mistakes like that. At least not to the degree of Lewinsky. But it happened just as he was being looked at on the Hughes/Loral deal with the Chinese. Maybe coincidence and maybe urban legend. But the Chinese deal with Hughes and American Loral Space & Communications fell off the front page and faded into obscurity when Monica’s dress went nationwide. That didn’t strike you as a little strange Clinton would screw up like that?
The last thing we need is Bill Clinton back in the White House entertaining the Chinese.
I don’t see Hillary Clinton as being the same as Rudy or Barry Obama.
I think Rudy will be bad for firearm rights. But he can be fought in Congress. I’m a convert. Hillary is to dangerous to be President.
The smart move is to make sure Rudy doesn’t in the Primary election so the worst of all Hobson’s choices doesn’t happen. And Ron Paul is not the answer.

An AR has to be kept clean and taken care of.
An AK can be thrown in the closet, forgotten, and filled with dirt, crap, and dust bunnies, and will probably fire effectively if dug out and used during an emergency.
An AK is pretty much bubba-proof.

The difference between Guiliani and Hilary? Hilary won’t get anything through Congress unless darn near every Democrat votes for it (including a number that are well to the right of Guiliani). Guiliani will get enough chowderhead Republican votes in Congress just because they support “fellow Republicans” to put through anything the radical leftist Democrats support…
Be sure to vote in the Republican primaries. If that isn’t enough to keep the RINOs out, DON’T STAY HOME AND DON’T VOTE DIMMOCRAT. Vote for a third party, Liberaltarianut, Constitutional-theocrat, or whatever. Make darn sure that when the Republicans so-called “leaders” are licking their wounds after the election, they’ll notice that they’d have won easily if they had just kept the conservatives with them…

I would probably vote for Rudy if he was on the ticket, but trying to get excited about him on the ticket would clearly be putting lipstick on a pig.
Actually, Rudy would do on every issue (incl. the 2A), exactly what political pressure demands.
In the case of the 2A, that would be wearing camo (ala Kerry hunting) and pretending to be a keeper of the 2A faith.
In office, he would capitulate to the political pressure to take no actions which would infringe the 2A.
He would do what is popular, which in the case of gun rights, is to not agitate people like us.
If we can remember just a few months ago, the evening of the Va. Tech. shooting, Harry Reid was on television saying that it was a time for mourning and not imposing more gun laws.
The gun issue is radioactive for the candidates.
I would be money that we even see Hillary or Obama in camo before the convention.
It’s too bad that Rudy blows with the wind (and generally) on political issues and has lost the backbone that he displayed in single-handedly bringing down the mob in NYC.
I admired him for that and for his leadership following the 9-11 attacks.
But, make no mistake, now he is simply a metrosexual dandy who will promise to do whatever political pressure demans.

I’ve got a Russian AK and it’s great! Lots of politicians want to take it from me though…while they have hired full-auto guns protecting them!!
