So, the press was all like a man had a 50 caliber on campus. They put up the stock photo of a Barrett 50. Turns out the guy had 50 caliber muzzle loader. I didn’t get a screen cap. Did you?

What was he arrested for, exactly? Black powder arms aren’t technically “firearms” are they?

In the laws of my home state (MI), any weapon which uses an explosion to propel a projectile of diameter lager than 0.18 inches in diameter is a firearm.
I don’t know how well other states follow that rule, but most definitions of “firearm” include black-powder muzzleloaders.
