Springfield M6 Survival
I’ve heard good things about the Springfield Armory M6. But, man, is it ugly.

There’s GOT to be a joke in there somewhere about a gun put together with ‘wingnuts’…
(Being able to laugh at ourselves is yet another advantage we have over the nutroots)

It’s pretty because it works – functionality has a beauty all it’s own.

Heck, until the lawyers made them put a trigger guard on it you could just fold it for storage.
I’ve got the .22 / .410 version. Here’s a tip: take some 550 cord and make a foreend for it. Little bugger gets hot when you’re out playing with it. Plus, if you’re ever in a survival situation you’ve got a few yards of 550 cord handy.
As Ahab said, like the Liberator Pistol the beauty of the M6 is in its functionality.

The last gun you want in a survival situation is a survival gun. The idea of a cheap, last resort gun is a throwback to the harsh economy of WWII. If your life depends on your gun, you want a top quality weapon; not something designed to be cheap and easily mass-produced.
