That’s why I didn’t say it in absolutes. There was talk on Cal Guns that there are other patent holders involved and that’s where the real problems may lie. Of course the above source is the Brady Bunch who says both this and ballistic fingerprinting are proven crimefighting technologies.

Apparently, the real interesting thing is that there are NO PENALTIES for fudging a firearm to defeat microstamping. I could be wrong, and I only read this on the net (so it must be true). If true, then you can take a file to your dumb firing pin, or swap out parts, or do whatever with no penalty at all.
